Tomorrow (Episode 722)
First Aired: Sunday, 14th May, 2006
Writer: John Wells
Director: Christopher Misiano
Early Inauguration morning, and Josh can't sleep. Staring at the ceiling, he rolls over and glances at his alarm clock, which reads 6:02 a.m. A beautiful, manicured (and sadly, engagement ring-less) hand caresses his shoulder and he rolls back over, coming face-to-face with Donna, who gives him a small smile.
Together, Josh and Donna watch with pride as Santos takes the oath of office on Inauguration Day.
Home Sweet Home
Lobby of the West Wing, Inauguration Day. Donna, Josh and Sam enter the "new" White House like a group of cool kids on the first day of senior year, pausing in the lobby to take in their surroundings and the weight of their responsibilties, with freshmen Bram, Ronna and Annabeth bringing up the rear.
SAM: (solemnly) Home sweet home. Many thanks to The West Wing Collection for the wonderful screencaps!
Sam leaves, presumably in the direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff's office. Smiling, Donna places a comforting hand on Josh's arm, who is deep in thought but raises his eyebrows slightly in acknowledgment. She walks off with Annabeth, presumably towards the East Wing. Ronna and Bram also depart for their respective areas, and Josh is left alone for a moment, the gravitas of it all slowly sinking in, before he, too, walks off into the future.
